Scriptwriting Part 1

At this moment in time, I have finished the rough draft of my script. At the moment, I'll need to cast 6 people and have arranged for a friend to look over my script and assist me with directing, camera, and lighting. Before I start to scout for locations (though I have at least 3 places in mind), I will cast first. A few of my friends approached me from last year when I had told them what my project would entail this year, so I will reach out to them first. I have worked on skits and short stories with a few others, so I will also be reaching out to them. If both of these strains of my friends are unavailable, I will take up my journalism teacher's offer of casting students from her classes.

For today, I will let the script set and return to it in a few days to make adjustments. Once the roles have been casted, I want to review the script and adjust the diction to better suit each actor. I've tried to make the secondary roles more generic in terms of the complexity of the words and such, but I think it will work out in the production's best interest to do this.
